Magnum Foundation

Creating awareness around Chicago takes time and effort. Outdoor graphics can help.

Magnum P.I.

Add a P.I. and you have the ’80s TV show. Let’s get serious: Magnum Foundation Sees Potential in all of South Chicago. Help them spread the word. Courtesy of full color banners delivered by Cushing, you can see their brand message promoting positive development on the south side. Graphic solutions were implemented at three different locations.

A Host of Installations

At an old performance hall in Bronzeville (formally the Forum), large banners were printed on 13 ounce vinyl. Graphics were contoured to the shape of three large arched windows with another long 60 foot banner, stretching the length of the front side.

Additionally, Cushing printed to adhesive vinyl, covering the windows at street level. Mounted to MDO (a coated plywood, optimal for outdoor installations), the artwork displayed a timeline of the building’s history.

Another element of the project took place at a Bronzeville community garden. A 8.5 foot tall x 47 foot wide banner was printed and installed adjacent to the garden wall.

The final spot was a Community Center in Englewood. Cushing printed on a mesh banner that draped over the windows of the center. To the left and right of the entrance, you can also see this work adorning the window perforation.

Results

The outdoor graphics wall prompted additional awareness and positive branding to drum up interest and discussion in the Chicago area.
