For anyone new here, Customer Service Week is Cushing’s weeklong celebration of our teammates. We pick a theme, play games, dress up, and hand out awards for a job well done. Post-pandemic we were finally able to gather safely as a team and get back to the fun! Our 2022 theme was:
The first day of Customer Service Week was Bob Day! We asked that everyone come dressed as a Bob (Bob Ross, Bob for Apples, Sish ke-bob to name a few). We then asked for YOUR help on social media to vote on our best Bob.
Joining us were a couple of billboards, a very creative Billy Crystal, William Shakespeare, Billy Ray Cyrus and more!
Special appearances by St, Patrick’s Day, Safety Pat-rol, Patrick Stewart (Dr. X), and Patrick Swayze!
We celebrated anniversaries, handed out awards and had A LOT of fun. Employees are recognized for going the extra mile and working hard every day throughout the year.
Also known as Most Valuable Coworker, the Cushing team votes in a secret ballot for their MVC pick. These are the people who we can always count on, no matter how busy it is! This year, our winners were…
Winners of rookie of the year are new team members who have made a tremendous impact. 2022 brought us quite a few new coworkers, so this was a tough race!
The late Mike Duff was a Cushing leader who was always anticipating the next customer need. Not only passionate about new technology, he was creative about developing new uses for equipment already on the shop floor – and extremely enthusiastic about customer service. (He was also a lover of bonsai trees!)
The consummate professional, Carl Hansen was known for being a most thoughtful co-worker, great listener, and calm advisor to his peers regardless of their position in the company. He was also an avid painter, so the winner of this award is given a Carl Hansen original!
