Cushing is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented intern to support the marketing department with a variety of projects. Should have an interest in digital marketing, writing and copyediting. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Database management
You’ll be involved with maintaining spreadsheets, keeping lead contact details up-to-date and assist with ongoing outbound email campaigns. You’ll specifically learn about marketing automation and email marketing. Maintaining and building new lists is a critical part of the role.
Photo editing and compression
You will learn Photoshop basics, resize and save images for website and organize project photos on our shared drive.
Updating website page content using WordPress
Many companies are moving to content management systems which allow staff to update photos, add new pages and change website items. You’ll learn more about the content management system WordPress with “hands on” experience.
Search Engine Optimization, Local SEO and Keywords
You’ll get familiar with techniques associated with Search Engine Optimization. You’ll help gather “striking distance” key phrases and be part of strategies to optimize the Cushing website. You’ll also claim ‘citations’ on the web – these are instances of the Cushing brand on the internet that have name, address, and phone number. Will discuss in more detail with the right candidate.
10 hours per week
