User friendly solution simplifies ordering and improves visitor experience
Chicago, Illinois — January 23, 2013 —Cushing, a leading provider of print and digital communication solutions, today announced the release of Color Order Wizard. A web based utility that simplifies online color ordering, the tool is part of an ongoing effort to accommodate sophisticated client requests. Initially, color printing options include Posters, Banners, Books, Fine Art and Direct to Substrate.

Created by Cushing’s Information Technology department with input from production staff, interface mock ups came to fruition last May. After receiving focus group recommendations, Cushing programmers optimized the end user experience. The final testing phase produced a first quarter of 2013 release date.
After creating a login, end users follow steps to create their order and upload files. During the process, the system provides options, graphics and tips to educate customers. After walking through the form and entering specific details, customers have the opportunity to review a summary to confirm their project is entered without issues.
“Color Order Wizard narrows down products, media types and finishing options into a user-friendly interface,” announced David Parkes, Information Technology Director at Cushing. “Our goal has been to evolve to this type of workflow and we’re off to a terrific start.”
Potential future developments include additional product offerings and quote request functionality. Additional suggestions to assist customers with media and project requirements are in planning stages. After using Color Order Wizard, end users are encouraged to share their experiences.
