World Class City Survival

I am not in a position to write and post something insightful today, but I wanted to memorialize the experience of being the NATO Summit host city.

To be sure, ours is not a restaurant business and my employees didn’t have to wrestle with road closures, but as a business owner and life long city resident it was enormously gratifying to see the nice job Chicago did in her role as host city. Chicago’s Finest did an outstanding job, our local press managed to cover more than the protestors, and there was no rioting in the streets.

We’ll make more money when the Ryder Cup is in town, but it was a chance to show what The City That Works can do. Felt good to watch ourselves on TV for a change!
