Six Degrees of Search

Kat Latham is the Director of Collections Management and has served at the museum for over seven years. When a need arose for a series of fine art prints on quality paper, she went to the web to find the right solution. Cushing shared samples, and the Pritzker team began comparing printing companies.

Even before the Google search, the relationship with Cushing had ties to the past.

Nice to See You Again

Christine Fetting, an awesome, recent addition to the Cushing sales team, worked previously with Kat on a series of display solutions.

More on the museum experience.

Prior to walking inside, numerous framed prints depict historic periods. Step inside and both history buffs and casual observers will appreciate important images and artifacts.

“We have worked with Cushing before and recently ordered window clings for a special celebration. It was a custom design and the experience working with their team was great. They are professionals and easy to work with”
Reverse The Curse

Christine’s transition came right around the time history was made for a certain ballclub (Go Cubs Go), and a fun idea came together.

No, it did not involve a billy goat.

What's Old Is New Again

With the curse broken (and Cubs fans catching their breath), Christine contacted Kat to discuss an idea. Celebrations about to swarm Michigan Avenue, the account manager remembered the coverage the windows at Pritzker had, high above the street.

What about flying the “W” and creating a presence during the Cubs victory parade?

Call to the Bullpen

Timing is everything. The project went into extra innings (you know, an overnight rush order to pull it off!), and the windows looked wonderful.

You could say the collaboration was a home run… they were still on display during a visit to take photos right before Thanksgiving!

Home Team Advantage

The results?

More people realize there is a museum in the Monroe building and wander in to check it out.

Many people said they liked the “W’s” and Pritzker agrees:

“We would absolutely use Cushing for our next project.”
